What is Ptah?

Ptah is a platform that turns outsourcing bids into live demos. Instead of spending one to two weeks building a sample application to win a project, your BA, PM, and Tech Lead work together with Claude through Ptah to produce a working MVP, a detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and a cost estimate — in hours.

Ptah was built for software outsourcing teams who need to respond to client RFPs and proposals quickly, with concrete artifacts rather than slide decks.

The problem Ptah solves

In a typical outsourcing bid, the winning proposal includes:

  1. A clear scope definition and breakdown of modules
  2. A WBS with realistic hour estimates per task and role
  3. A cost estimate based on a company rate card
  4. And ideally, a working demo that proves the team understands the domain

The last item is the bottleneck. Building a demo to win a bid typically costs one to two weeks of a developer's time — often unpaid, because the team has not yet been selected. Many companies skip the demo entirely and lose bids to competitors who invest in one.

Ptah removes the cost of building that demo.

How Ptah works

Ptah orchestrates a small team of roles around a shared project workspace:

  • PM creates the project, uploads client documents, and assigns a VPS where the demo will live.
  • BA chats with Claude to analyze requirements, identify modules, define user flows, and generate specs. Ptah stores the conversation, the uploaded documents, and the generated files in version control so the rest of the team can pick up where the BA left off.
  • Tech Lead reviews the generated specs, makes adjustments, and asks Claude to implement code, run migrations, or fix issues. Claude works inside a dedicated folder on the assigned VPS, using the repository conventions the Tech Lead defines.
  • Claude writes the backend and frontend, containerizes the application with Docker, deploys it behind an Nginx reverse proxy with SSL, and exposes a public URL for the demo.
  • PM downloads the auto-generated WBS Excel, reviews it, and sends the live demo URL plus the WBS to the client.

The entire workflow happens inside Ptah's web app. There are no approval gates between roles — each person does their part in parallel and shares context through files and Claude sessions.

What Ptah is not

  • It is not a no-code builder. Ptah generates real code in the tech stack you choose.
  • It is not a replacement for your BA, PM, or Tech Lead. It is a force multiplier that lets them move from requirement to demo faster.
  • It is not an AI agent that runs without supervision. Every session is initiated by a human, and the generated output can be reviewed, edited, and regenerated at any time.
